I know what it’s like to dread getting out of bed. Looking at the ceiling in a cloud of overwhelm, depression and anxiety knowing that when my feet touch the ground, the daily chronic pain begins.

Once I discovered that Tai Chi and Qigong were my off-switch for my physical pain and on-switch for my mental and emotional health, they became my saving grace. All I want is the same for you.

Hey, I’m Jamie

I help people release physical, mental and emotional tension and return to an inner knowingness so they can navigate the ups and downs of life with more energy and balance.

As a certified Tai Chi and Qigong instructor I have enjoyed working with an eclectic range of populations that include LGBTQ+, senior assisted living, mental health, incarceration, homelessness, addiction and corporate wellness. These experiences have deepened my empathy for the struggles that ALL people go through, and I recognize that not only do folks need ways to cope, but they could also use a friend.

Having gone through the experience of my body breaking down in my 30’s and 40’s due to over-work, I can relate to people who suffer from chronic pain. I understand what it’s like to have to give up activities that you once enjoyed and the sadness, frustration and disappointment of no longer being able to keep up with loved ones. Feelings of depression, overwhelm and hopelessness set in. 

Inspired by a Qigong for the spine YouTube video, I dove back into these healing arts that I had learned in my 20’s with a daily regimen of moving meditation. I was astonished at how in just a few weeks my back pain was simply gone. I was also present to how energetic, yet calm I would feel after each session. In the few years that followed, I achieved something that I truly never thought I would be able to, which is to say the words, “Today I am pain-free.”

I teach traditional Yang style Tai Chi and various classic medical qigong forms. I believe in and strive to honor these ancient healing arts because I have used them to heal my feet, ankle, knees, hamstrings, groin, back, wrist and shoulder. I no longer worry, and I’m much better at managing my anger. These results are what fuel me to deliver this powerful information in a way that can make an impact for you immediately.
